Terms of service

The agreement between you and Salexa when you install and use the app. Please read it together with our privacy policy.

Effective date: November 3, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you (the merchant installing the app, "you") and Ilija Kocev, 1480 Gevgelija, North Macedonia ("Salexa", "we", "us"). By installing or using Salexa you agree to these terms. If you use Salexa on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to accept them for that business.

2. The service

Salexa is a Shopify app that audits the SEO of your products and uses artificial intelligence to suggest SEO titles, meta descriptions, product descriptions and image alt text. Suggestions are only written to your store after you approve them, and applied changes can be reverted from the app.

3. Eligibility and access

You need an active Shopify store and must comply with Shopify's terms. Access to Salexa is granted through your Shopify admin; you are responsible for who in your organization can use it.

4. Plans and billing

  • Salexa offers paid plans that include every feature and differ in their monthly AI limit. There is a Free plan with a small monthly AI limit; there is no free trial.
  • Paid plans (Starter and Growth) are billed monthly by Shopify on your Shopify invoice. Prices and limits are shown on the Shopify App Store and on Shopify's plan selection page before you subscribe.
  • You can change or cancel your plan at any time in the app. Cancellation takes effect according to Shopify's billing rules; refunds are handled under Shopify's billing policies.
  • We may change plans or prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply from your next billing cycle.
  • Unused monthly limits do not roll over.

5. AI-generated content

You are responsible for what you publish. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable. Review every suggestion before approving it, especially product facts, materials, sizes, health, safety, legal or comparative claims.

  • Salexa does not guarantee any search ranking, traffic or sales result.
  • You are responsible for making sure published content is accurate and complies with the laws and advertising rules that apply to your products and markets.
  • As between you and us, content generated for your store belongs to you, to the extent permitted by law.

6. Your content

You keep all rights to your store content. You give us a limited license to access, process and transmit it (including to our AI provider) only as needed to provide Salexa to you. You confirm you have the rights to the content you ask Salexa to process.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Salexa for unlawful, misleading, infringing or harmful content;
  • attempt to bypass plan limits, quotas or security measures;
  • access other merchants' data or interfere with the service;
  • reverse engineer, resell or copy Salexa, except where the law allows it;
  • use Salexa to build a competing service.

8. Third-party services

Salexa depends on Shopify and on OpenAI's API. Their availability, terms and policies are outside our control. We are not responsible for changes or outages of third-party services, but we will work to limit their impact on you.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Salexa available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may improve, change or remove features. If we discontinue Salexa, we will give reasonable notice.

10. Termination

You can stop using Salexa at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if required by law or by Shopify. After uninstall, your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy. Changes already applied to your store remain in your store.

11. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salexa is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Salexa is limited to the amount you paid us for Salexa in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from content you publish using Salexa or from your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of North Macedonia, without regard to conflict of law rules. Mandatory consumer or business protections of your country still apply.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email at least 30 days in advance. Continuing to use Salexa after that means you accept the updated terms.
